Leadership Team
Hi everyone! My name is Srija and I am One of the Executive Directors. I am in third year at University of Toronto, studying Physiology and Molecular Genetics. My interests include travelling, reading, and design. I joined HNP Ontario to learn and help spread awareness on many issues revolving around climate change. I trust that our mission at HNP Ontario will help encourage our community to engage and work towards a better future. I am so proud of the work we have done so far and cannot wait to see our organization continue to grow!

Hello! My name is Kiyan and I am a Grade 12 IB student at Dr. G.W. Williams Secondary School. During my free-time, I like to go on bike rides, play badminton, write, and read. I joined HNP because I am incredibly passionate about the environment and my goal is to drive as much change as possible. Through our events, programs and initiatives, I know we can make a difference in our community and shift the status quo by promoting greener lifestyles.

Hi everyone! My name is Muhammad and I am in my final year of my undergraduate studies at UofT. I joined HNP Ontario because I am incredibly passionate about advocating for the environment, primarily through education and civic engagement. The prospect of green cities and sustainable policies, practices, and development fascinates. In my free time, I love to read, cook, and spend time with friends and family. I am so very proud of our grassroots organization and the impact we have been able to make in the local and global community to drive environmental change. I cannot wait to show you all our plans for 2024!

Environmental advocacy and contributing meaningfully towards a more sustainable future has always been a great interest of mine, whether it be through in-person events or educational workshops/fellowships (all of which we do here at HNPO)! Here, I have the pleasure of working with a group of highly dedicated and passionate people, and I look forward to future projects with them!

My name is Inaya Ponda, and I am an Events Associate for Human Nature Projects Ontario. I am in grade 9 at Northern Secondary School, and I am a part of the Debate Club and Buddy Program there. I am usually quite busy, but when I have free time I enjoy reading, self-expressing through my clothing, and hanging out with friends. I joined Human Nature Projects Ontario because as a part of the up-and-coming generation, it is important to advocate for environmental preservation and climate change prevention. As well, it is a great way to meet like-minded peers and have fun while benefitting the environment.

Hello! My name is Ahmad Hassam, and I am an Events Associate at HNP Ontario. I currently attend Erindale Secondary School. I joined HNP Ontario because I participated in their Earth Day Competition and was inspired by their commitment to environmental advocacy, raising awareness, and community growth. The organization's future aspirations and engaging workshops were eye-catching, and I knew I wanted to be a part of their executive team. Now, a bit about me: I enjoy biking, playing basketball and football, learning about the brain (it's fascinating!), and coding.

Hey everyone! I'm Neelaksha, and I'm in my third year of McMaster's Honours Life Sciences program. I love going on long walks and road trips with my family. I enjoy painting, and I have done six years of Carnatic music. I love being outdoors. My childhood was mostly spent playing outdoors. However, future generations may not have the same experience if the detrimental effects of climate change on the environment remain ongoing. As a communications director at HNP, I hope to advocate for climate change by highlighting critical environmental issues with my team and help enforce actions that will protect and keep our environment healthy, which will also keep us healthy. It's a win-win situation! 🙂

Hii, My name is Nethuki Wickramasuriya and I'm a community engagement associate at the human nature projects ontario! I'm currently attending the Woodlands Secondary school, and I'm in grade 10!! I joined HNP because from a really young age I've always been an advocate for the environment, and I really saw HNP as a wonderful way to start spreading influence, and further develop my own knowledge as well! A couple interests of mine, are reading manga, skateboarding, violin, and figure skating! I also watch a lot of anime, and I'm always looking for recommendations :) !!
