Dress to Impress: Sustainable Fashion Workshop Success

Inaya Ponda, an Events Associate here at HNP Ontario, planned and organized a successful workshop centred around sustainability, inclusion, and diversity in our wardrobe. Through the Arab Community Centre of Toronto (ACCT) Inclusion and Diversity Workshop Program, Inaya and the other participants received a $400 Honorarium and got the opportunity to attend digital inclusion and diversity educational workshops to begin planning for this event. As an HNP executive, Inaya chose to run her own independent workshop on sustainable fashion!

Through hard work and organizational skills, Inaya secured Roy Levine as a guest speaker and ran her first workshop on January 9th.

"I spent a significant amount of time researching and creating Instagram posts to promote the event, ensuring that it would reach as many people as possible. On the day of the event, everything went smoothly, and I was thrilled to have 9 attendees join the session. Although there were a few technical difficulties, the overall experience was incredibly positive and enlightening. I also received great feedback from the participants, which made all the effort worthwhile and reinforced the value of the workshop."

Thank you Inaya, and congratulations on your success with your first independent event!
